About

Truck 316 is a ministry of Dacula United Methodist Church that began in 2017 to meet the needs of people in our community and elsewhere by offering them a meal.

Dacula UMC has been in ministry for 180 years and in the last 20 years, has taken on the challenge of meeting needs in innovative ways. Truck 316 is one of our most ambitious projects, but we believe this project will reach many people by meeting their physical and spiritual needs.

The name for our food truck is a reference to John 3:16, which says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” The name is also a tip of the hat to Georgia Highway 316, which runs right by Dacula if you’re on the way to Athens or Atlanta. Most of the time, you’ll find us somewhere along this stretch of road.

Take a look around and ask questions. We hope that through our successes and lessons learned, we’ll be able to share our best work with others so we can make an even bigger impact.  Of course, you can also be a sponsor of this important work. Contact us and we’ll be in touch.
